Me - public facing figure:- “And that includes stating explicitly that we stand with those people in the city who suffer discrimination and abuse on a daily basis”
My colleague Cllr Kye Dudd brought a motion to council calling for more investment in sport in the city.

It was wrecked by the Green Party with support from the Tories, so we had to withdraw it.

Labour support sport in the city, the Green Party scupper it.

Reform have nothing to offer the country, so they resort to divisive rhetoric instead.

Labour are getting on with fixing the mess left by the Tories 1.0

Reform are just version 2.0 of the Tories

Labour are tackling the real issues, like the cost of living and improving the NHS.

Our region has a proud aerospace heritage. The industry has sustained well paid and skilled jobs over many years, including for residents in my ward of Southmead.

I welcome this initiative to train people for a career in our local aerospace industry.

I will be bringing up the topic of trans healthcare for CYP at the Bristol City Council HOSC meeting on Monday.

I also note that in the HOC debate, an offer was made to speak to Keira Bell, somebody who sides with Tories, anti-trans groups and right wing media 😡

I didn’t know about this consultation and I’m on the Transport Committee!

Similar to the Lanercost Rd planning application. Both ran over the Xmas period.

Is it Bristol Green Party’s way to avoid feedback, in case it goes against them?

Good article from @kerrymp.bsky.social

We need to:-
1. Keep our core vote by making positive change they notice
2. Make sure a proportion of undecideds don’t go to the populist left or right. We can attract some from both camps, but more-so on the progressive left

Labour’s polling crisis isn’t about Reform voters but losing progressives. To avoid electoral collapse, the party must clarify its values and unite its bloc.

Farage finds it funny in #PMQs when he’s called out for his support of Musk and the disgusting AI tool that allows non-consensual undressing of women on twitter.

Reform do not care for our women and girls.

Perhaps you could get the ‘Bristol Green Party Letter Writing Department’ to send something to your leader Zack Polanski and ask him to come off twitter*?

My kind of march. Shame there’s not one in Bristol, looks like I’ll have to travel to Cardiff.
We are supporting the Intersectional Uprising marches taking place across the UK on the 17th January:

It has now been 5 days since Keir Starmer posted on X. 11 for Rachel Reeves

Previously both we're posting several times a day - seems a informal boycott is happening

Meanwhile @zackpolanski.bsky.social has posted/retweeted 7 times this morning. @eddavey.libdems.org.uk too

When you leaving chaps?
Also striking that Rachel Reeves has been off of it since 2 January.

Some interesting contributions from members of the public phoning in to Radio Bristol this morning.

Like working families in Hotwells and Redland who will have to pay more for family members to park when helping with childcare.

I noted their concerns about RPS changes

Thank you for sharing @pinknews.bsky.social. This isn’t sentient tech gone rogue, it’s a designed feature that allows users to perpetuate harm, backed up by the platform policy. We are calling for a focus on the real threats to women and girls. This is a clear example

Free speech is an essential part of democracy. Everybody should be able to express an opinion without fear. But decency and respect for others are also important.

A social media platform that allows women and girls to be undressed using AI needs to be banned.

End of.

After years of Tory/Lib Dem austerity (of which Cllr Williams was a part), this Labour Government have increased funding to Bristol City Council by £161M up to 28/29.

Protecting the funding of libraries is not the same as committing to keep them all open. I will not let Southmead library close.

In case you missed it, Nigel Farage said Reform would vote against scrapping the two-child benefit cap because some of the families who will benefit include people who are “foreign-born”.

Imagine being so racist that you would rather keep 450,000 children in poverty.

A neighbourhood notification list has just been uploaded 2 days after the consultation supposedly ended on 6th Jan.
