I've never read the light novels or manga so I don't know how accurate everything is but I feel like I would of looked into some things at the time.
Railgun S and T are really good though and i enjoyed Index 2.

Yeah, I believe it runs side by side to Index most of the time. But Index and Touma make cameos at most.
An arc or two overlap so you'll see reanimated scenes if memory serves. Or at least that one specific arc.
