Yet another commission from Cap'n Skitty! Recently infatuated with my mantis lady, Prayer, he wanted to spend some time within her belly, which she was happy to oblige even in the middle of her exercise!

Thanks so much!!
Prayer hanging upside down in a jungle of bamboo, belly hefting downwards due to gravity, with Cap'n Skitty inside. Prayer, who normally has scythes for hands, is wearing specially made gloves which mimic the function of regular hands.

Prayer's defiantly desperate attempt at wielding her blades without her prosthetic gloves, in full Japanese charcoal painting flair! (Along with a version without color, because I think both are awesome)

My first time attempting to stylize my work to this degree, Prayer definitely deserves it after going so long without a full artwork. I wanted her swords in particular to stand out- given its their first appearance alongside her, so I designed them as if she plucked them right out of a passionately charcoal-drawn manga (if such a thing exists)! After playing around with the layers, I realized that the background and general vibe of the work does wonders for giving this a certain aesthetic that I really love! Its as if she's creeping out of some shadow, her weaponry and sinister glare apparent before her poised stance, all around making her appear more threatening than I designed her to be. A lovely change of pace!
