Terrible. This isn’t the victorian ages - seeing our kids die is much more avoidable.

Roald Dahl lost his daughter Olivia to measles. It happened very quickly. Worth reading his short piece about it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Measles...

It becomes interesting when you realise that what they mean is ‘I’d rather have a dead kid than an autistic one (for example, though there’s no link!). I think it is weird to prefer anything to the kid you have, honestly! they just need you to love them more than anything in the world. not hard!

Yeah, I hear it is bloated. But I also hear that the French automotive cos are responding to weight-based charging with less bloat and that both Ftench and Italian cos have faced up to the reality of tiny old Mediterranean cities on car size too, which interests me!

Family holidays when I was a kid: Renault 4 plus small trailer for some of the camping gear. we took the trailer off when we didn’t need it, the rest of the year. Using an SUV is like wearing wellies all summer because you potentially have a muddy walk in February

i walked with my kids with stage props for a week one summer. Amazing how a long hard rubber sword made a difference - but utterly infuriating

Imagine if all non-driving/non-car owning households realised how much they were propping up a whole load of other people and decided to take action? Hmmm

Does it mention the magic wand she’s presumably still searching for to fix traffic problems without noticeably changing anything about the status quo??? what a muppet. Though again what a reflection on the steadfast, determined approach from Sadiq Khan, who’s looking ever more heroic here

disabled cycle users can’t be put in that position so I call discrimination on those plans. By all means permit cycling but it is not 24/7 4- season usable and you know women & disabled people do have work and events and education and many other trips to make after 5.30 pm in the winter.

Please please see @londoncycling.bsky.social ’s Women’s freedom after dark report. this looks and smells to me like a council that just doesn’t want to reallocate road space and thereby shows they actually don’t care about safety after all, ie fob off alert

Weird. everyone knows his real name is Mandy? this Is looking murkier than Michael Green.

Can we get that stat for overlap with domestic violence convictions just once again please?

And TfL needs to focus on safety quality and less on delaying cos buses. ‘we have to model it again’ long grass game going on in places where councils are trying to catch up.
