I hope Marshawn Kneeland's loved ones can find peace. talent, fame, and money don't make you immune to mental health and I hope the grief of last night's tragedy can be channeled into positivity and remembrance of a man who was, by all accounts, one of the best of us. RIP

"Listen, fuck your redshirting" is such a good line. Toledo should put it on a shirt

my deep distrust of LLMs knows no bounds

wrote about it this summer: it really doesn't matter if Trevor Lawrence is the 8th or 18th best QB in the league because he's the most memorable QB for a Jaguars team that has always folded in moments like tonight. every Jags fan is gonna tell their grandkids about that TD

thought the Athletic Football Show segment on WAS-LAC was really sharp. LAC are a light box team against a pretty heavy run game. on the back end, the pattern match coverage LAC runs allowed WAS to pull defenders out of their zones and then send receivers back into those holes

doing this against the Chargers defense is certainly a choice

Reading this in the ER. I will be telling everyone later that I'm ok I just hydroplaned into the wall.

And then mention the painkillers & telling them the more boring story of getting rear-ended right after my shift ended & I was going home.

football has grown in Brazil for many reasons: Gisele Bündchen, Jair Bolsonaro, the COVID-19 pandemic.

but the efforts of four media members I had lunch with in São Paulo are a key reason too, one that makes me hopeful about the state of media coverage both abroad and stateside:

When Alex told me that the NFL denied him a credential after we had booked the trip, I didn't panic at all because I knew he was going to write a killer story anyway

Despite knowing that, I was floored at how fucking good it ended up being

HELLO EVERYBODY
I have been in a singular niche as the spreadsheet man since 2021. major media, NFL teams, P4 programs, agencies, and rabid fans have all supported me making a bunch of lists.
this year, I am moving the spreadsheets off of Patreon. welcome to FOOTBALL SHEETS:

Jedd Fisch says that LB Jacob Manu is "getting close" to returning from his torn ACL, but Washington will then need to evaluate whether Manu will take a redshirt season. the Arizona transfer has 2 years to play 1 but could play 4 games + postseason and keep his redshirt
August 25, 2025 at 8:19 PM
"I believe that our program isn't going to be one where people come and go. We're working really hard to make that the case," Jedd Fisch says. clear that Washington is making it an emphasis to keep their young core of talent intact for the long term

Raiden Vines-Bright will be Washington's starting slot receiver on Saturday against Colorado State, per Jedd Fisch. the true freshman from Tempe, AZ is listed as an OR with Penn State transfer Omari Evans but will get the first crack at the job

Jedd Fisch says that scouts from 17 NFL teams have been at Washington's practices over the last 8 days
August 25, 2025 at 8:10 PM
Jedd Fisch says that he believes that everybody not previously ruled out for the season (e.g. Russell Davis II) will be available for Washington's opener against Colorado State Saturday. "does not mean everyone will play", he notes
