Yet another ultra-wise card from my Sinister Affirmations deck. Colin bought it for me for my birthday and it really gives me a boost on those days when I have a hard time believing in myself. 🖤

What if everyone around you was changing? You could see humanity, the things that make people different and who they are dying to make way for something else?

Now imagine it's coming for you, too.

TEN BEFORE THE END!

I like to take my time getting into the worlds people have created, enjoy the language they've chosen, the imagery on the page. That being said, I'd like to read all ten of these before the end of 2025 if I can.

Also, please, make room on your TBRs for some indie horror.

It's the 20th anniversary of Guillermo Del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth next year. I can't wait to finish this one so I can start shopping it around in 2026.

Pan's Labyrinth meets Undertale on the Universal Studios Jaws ride. Faerie and funky here in DROWN TOWN.

Gree. This was too much fun. Even for an insane person like me. 🖤

I'm repping awards eligibility today, folks. If you love sad things and want to read them for awards consideration purposes, email me.

You should buy and read all of @chaoticauthor.online's books right now, too.

It happens to be my brilliant partner's birthday today. Colin is always listening to all my hairbrained writing ideas, acting as my sensible sidekick at shows, and is always filled with useful facts about everything. And I'm really happy to have him here. So share the birthday love, friends!

Yeah. That seems accurate.
If you love books that wreck you emotionally, look no further.

Can you feel it creeping in? The chill? November is one of my favorite months of the year.

The oncoming frost, the twirling brown leaves on blustery air... I love writing in November. My aim is to finish up my current WIP.

Are you working on a new project for November? Tell me in the comments!

It's not often someone can say they had artwork--seriously cool artwork--created for a podcast episode they were featured on. But I can say that now.

This hand-drawn masterpiece by @jimtandberg.bsky.social was for a podcast episode I did with Joe and Kalid for @frankenpodcast.bsky.social. 1/2

Thanks for the fun questions, Eryn!

I announced my latest book yesterday, the next novella series after The Deadlands featuring Janet and her backwoods witchery.

Stay tuned for more info. In the meantime, read the Deadlands trilogy and get settled into the world.

A photo from the Halloween readings we did at @courtneyquietcity.bsky.social. I read a chapter from Where The Soul Goes about the protagonist, Eliot, in a conversation about guilt with an anthropomorphic birthday balloon.

Now that you know that, why haven't you read the book yet?

Today is my last event on the unofficial tour for Where The Soul Goes! I'll be at the Gray Public Library in Gray, Maine to talk all about the book (and maybe a few of my other ones) today at 1 PM! If you're in the area, stop by and say hello!

This is Ace Week, "an annual campaign to raise awareness, build community, and create change."

I am asexual, alloromantic. This shows most importantly in my latest novel, Where The Soul Goes: an ace gay man comes to terms with himself and the traumas he's faced before Death takes him.

AUDIOBOOK ANNOUNCEMENT!

The Vulpine Curse audiobook features the vocal talents of Teddy Sterry. Teddy's audition brought depth and emotion to a narrative that is one of my more personal releases thus far.

Be on the look out for more news as production goes forth and its eventual release!
