Ohhhhh....yeah, that one is far less helpful. Workaway International is quite clear that you need an H2B visa. I wouldn't want to enter a country without clear regs about work/no work.

The visitors are supposed to get the visa, so if she came in on a tourist one, I'm not surprised she had issues. She should be let to go home, though. Her ICE imprisonment is just ridiculous

Apparently he's being held in CenLa, *my* neck of the woods!

Not for tourism, no, but the Workaway site says that you need to get a temporary work visa for the program because it is a work-exchange travel experience. If she didn't have one, that would explain why she was turned away.

Yes, she went through Workaway, which tells its users that you have to get an H2B visa (a temporary work visa), and it appears that she was in the US on a visa waiver, which is strictly for tourists. If I am incorrect, I apologize.

I plan to remind mine that a lot of married women voted for them and may not be able to do so again if they move. And maybe someone could remind ppl that the uneducated often don't have passports....

Mine too!

You will have to go to an official location and present one of the two valid documents in order to register. This WILL disenfranchise people, and it will definitely stifle voter registration for those who can't do that. Call your senators' offices every day to demand that they vote against it.

Louisiana is full of people who voted for people who want to cut Medicaid. I believe there are 2 million people enrolled in Medicaid now. They will be surprised, I guess, when the leopards begin feasting.

Allowing unregulated activity by horrible people usually results in its implosion. We will see the same thing happen (at an accelerated rate) with AI.

Just a little lebensraum. Nothing to worry about. Especially Canada.

I live in Louisiana. There will be hordes of Trump supporters who will use this as justification for pulling out their hundreds of thousands of guns and shooting any bird they see.

To be honest, this kind of fact-checking is what we are expecting from your editor, WaPo, as the year rolls on.

You mean invasion? Imperialism? You can be factual AND use direct, accurate terminology.
