Read through his posts because he seemed to be spouting absolute nonsense. Still not any more illuminated.
Think they're just being awkward for the sake of contrarianism and finding every possible opportunity to misunderstand points and shift goal posts.
Bizarre (very Twitter coded) behaviour.

Feel like part of the problem as I'm a fan of Obsidian's RPGs but have not got Avowed or OW2

But I simply don't have the spare cash to be dropping £60 on a new OW and Avowed still hasn't come to PS5

I want to support this studio but the pricing and platform choices are making that difficult

me: "But Cyberpunk has stuff much more explicit than Dispatch and its allowed on the eshop uncensored!"

*reads article*

"ok yeah fair"

GOD I turned this off the first time people flagged it as a problem and I just went and checked and the UI had changed and now was turned on again that's why Ive been seeing none of the EU and Japanese accounts I follow good LORD

The game is super bare bones rn but I do think with the current leadership and dev talent and the pool of years and years of different dev branches and leftovers from its dev hell days its got a real good chance of being another great pillar of the genre
January 22, 2026 at 8:15 AM
Like I heard a lot of frustration around gamedev shows and events about how Hytale was being pitched to investors and how hard it was to get funding when Hytale "MC killer everything game" was in the room with you. It made me very spiteful towards it but yeah rn its got nothing but good vibes
January 22, 2026 at 8:13 AM
Its really nice to see honestly because everything I heard from ex-employees and industry chatter around it during its years and years in dev hell was that people high up 100% were aiming for an everything game that would kill both Minecraft and Roblox to the frustration of the actual dev talent

I really like Prime 4 and want to see more of Sylux and everything but if the extent of his character is *disgruntled corrupt Fed who holds a grudge* then the stuff he *does* has gotta start getting more engaging. His character is not mysterious enough to be a mystery villain.
January 22, 2026 at 1:52 AM
I enjoyed Sylux in Prime 4 but his backstory cutscene being this weirdly hyped up thing is so baffling when its literally just (spoilers) hes some guy who is annoyed

Like bruh that's the same amount of info that we had in Hunters except now species:??? is species:some guy

Really feel the desire to replay Arceus, it had such tremendous vibes and a wonderful gameplay loop that just made it totally infectious
January 20, 2026 at 11:24 PM
For all its issues (which are myriad) I still, like Arceus, had so much more fun with this game than any of the recent "traditional" Pokemon generations. It still feels like a stepping stone towards something potentially great, but I had a really great time with Violet (on Switch 2 especially)

And from the looks of it I'm not the only one who had a very poor reaction to the reveal, I imagine a lot of the coverage is from people who had the same reasonable but poor reaction, but then its being bolstered by drama grifters trying to create a wider narrative out of nothing
January 17, 2026 at 12:06 AM
You're probably right that there's a lot of effort being put into crafting a narrative of this as a failure, but I cannot help my reaction that it looked utterly uninspired and uninteresting and was an utterly baffling final reveal for the Game Awards (that not really being the team's fault aside)
January 17, 2026 at 12:05 AM
Well mine would have been Vexx lmao
January 14, 2026 at 8:07 PM
I to this day still say "phenomenal" regularly in reference to this scene

Loved this show so much

I see a lot of Starmer supporters claiming his win compared to Corbyn's losses means voters actually want more Tory-lite Labour, which ignores the fact that literally fewer people voted for Labour when Starmer won compared to both times Corbyn lost. The election was a *rejection* of Tory policy!

Welp looking at that subreddit Im pretty sure I now know where a lot of my community get their baffling and factually inaccurate takes from. So I guess that's one positive 🫤
December 26, 2025 at 10:33 AM
Outside of that though Cyberpunk feels like actual magic. When I was a kid I remember Star Wars Battlefront II on the PSP blowing my mind as a really good conversion of a PS2 game to a tiny handheld and now I get to play a game that looks like *this* on a Nintendo tablet? madness
December 26, 2025 at 2:43 AM
My Switch 2 save just hit 100 hours and for the first time Im looking like Ill actually finish the story, which is the same thing that happened with Witcher 3 for me on Switch 1. I dont know what it is about this form factor but I find it so much easier to play and finish these larger games
December 26, 2025 at 2:40 AM
(especially given, for all that I've seen, the game just looks a bit mid?)
