It was a Trump thing until TikTok came to Mar-A-Lago. He banned it via EO in the 1st term, it was reversed by courts, precipitated need for legislation. Trump has a price for everything including National Security. No one forced TikTok to go dark today. It’s a ploy- so y’all can say he saved it

He did ban it via EO - that order was challenged in the courts. That precipitated the need for legislation. Unfortunately Trump can be bought.
