The UCP government is more interested in directly blaming than fixing problems. They will lie, ignore the facts, and attack people - anything to avoid taking accountability for the problems they create or action to solve the problems albertans face.

During the time the minimum wage was going up Alberta actually added jobs in low wage sectors.

We are in a cost of living crisis and workers can no longer afford the basics - rents are way up, food costs are through the roof, and these workers haven’t seen a raise in over 7 years. #ableg

Smith’s argument - that raising the minimum wage would increase youth unemployment - is illogical and ignores the facts.

Our minimum wage has been frozen for 7 years, had it been index to inflation it would be closer to $18.45. In that time youth unemployment has gone UP not down. #ableg
