Mandatory syllabus publication is like voter ID laws in that its stated goal is an obvious pretext for causing a bunch of externalities that Republicans want but don't want to say they want.

To be clear, a standard part of job applications are providing sample syllabi - often a whole portfolio of them - because *your syllabi* are part of the value proposition of hiring *you* and not *someone else.*

Now the university wants to steal your materials, then sack and replace you.

Your regular reminder that Clarence Thomas sexually harassed Anita Hill while he was the chair of the EEOC in the 1980s, a position he was given by Reagan as a way to basically troll the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that created the EEOC. www.npr.org/2021/09/28/1...
