Never ceases to amaze and frustrate me that, despite having to pay for parking, airfares, a bag, and a hire car to get to the destination, flying to Scotland is still less than half the price of train tickets
Can’t wait to be back Up North for a big celebration next year

There’s diesel engines, there’s heritage railways, there’s Rebecca, There’s me, there’s Geoff, there’s a councillor called Chris.
But most importantly, there’s a vision. A project that could connect communities and improve lives, which is what the railways are all about.

I’m so lucky to have met so many friends in the railway community, despite it being a passion for me and not a career. And I love the stories I get to tell as a result.

I’ve had Covid for a week now. Whilst I’m over the worst the residual fatigue with this “Stratus” variant is tough. Meant to be in Cornwall eating all my favourite things. Instead I’m sulking in Stevenage.
