yep. Me, too. i cannot say if all of the ones i knew were totally sober as well. Crop Dusters are also another genre! i wasn't even a nurse in Army, but a lab tech. Night shifts took us all over the hospital but the ER is where the action was. Also, the contact radio, certainly no cell phones.

i did...met them at army hospitals as chopper pilots, and know a few crew chirfs and such in my past... Nam chopper pilots were absolutely fearless. Some still had bullets in them.
i refused many rides, as was never sure about their sanity!!
