TBH if he's consistently going over time on lectures I would keep a log of when he does that and that plus other issues you might be able to bring to the department and/or roast him in any end of semester course review

When people base their whole personality & identity around being a fan of certain media, they put said media on a pedestal & become emotionally attached to said media, so that any (even valid) criticism of it becomes a personal offense to them.
