Many of us do grapple with shame for things in our collective past - the treatment of the indigenous, slavery, internment camps, Jim Crow, the Tuskegee Experiments, Abu Ghraib - but convincing those who are uncomfortable with the truth to even admit those things happened in an ongoing struggle.

Many of us do grapple with shame for things in our collective past - the treatment of the indigenous, slavery, internment camps, Jim Crow, the Tuskegee Experiments, Abu Ghraib - but convincing those who are uncomfortable with the truth to even admit those things happened in an ongoing struggle.
First post and seriously considering leaving Meta completely. Somehow my IG account had me following POTUS and VP and weren't following either after election. Was it just for his numbers?! Scary!

For historians/ppl who know history: did the German public who were complicit with the rise of nazism ever realize they were the bad guys? After the end of the war, did the public by & large understand they were wrong? Or were they just upset they lost? I know you can’t generalize to everyone but…
