you can play as *luigi* in most *mario* games BUT you CAN NOT play as an *ANIMAL* in *ANIMAL* crossing
i think it would be sooo incredible if in the next animal crossing game besides being able to play as a human you could play as an animal as well and then besides having animal villagers you could have human villagers
