Still getting the hang of using enamels to do the weathering of a tank. The smell immediately brought back memories of the Revell colors I had as a kid.

It's been a bit of a slow month regarding the hobby, but I finally basecoated the camo scheme and applied decals on all my Leman Russ tanks.

Something I just noticed: There's a very fine cat hair on the tunic and the knee. 😩 I believe this might be the culprit who immortalized herself on this mini.

Bonus: A slightly outdated overview of my current WIP, a Krieg-themed army.
Imperial Guard miniatures for Warhammer 40k, built with 4th edition in mind. Shown are one HQ unit, five squads of infantry (each with a heavy weapon), and a Leman Russ Battle Tank. Some lore: This is part of the planetary defense force of the planet I called “Sentinel V” (before I knew that this is also the name of a space station in Space Hulk Campaigns). While the planet is mainly known for its agricultural products, the depicted force is wearing grey camo uniforms, because they are tasked with defending the main city sector. A sole guardsman of the planetary defense force of Sentinel V. The paint job itself is rather basic, mostly relying on some subtle highlights. A Valkyrie gunship for Warhammer 40k, painted in light grey. In the background, and blurry, are various unpainted/WIP miniatures. Among them Chimera APCs, a Leman Russ Battle Tank, a Sentinel, and veterans with shotguns from Forge World. An overview of my Death Korps of Krieg army for the 10th edition of Warhammer 40k, the 212th Siege Regiment. Shown are 2215 points, most of it only primed or partially painted.

I found a Krieg army box and couldn't resist picking it up. The downside: I have a 2nd Dreir mini now.

So… why not go crazy and turn him into a Lord Solar proxy? Still a WIP, but I like how he's looking so far.

The freebie sprue in WI452 inspired me to try painting 15mm miniatures for a change. Here are my first 20 Redcoats, eager to suppress the American Revolution.

It was fun. But one confession before I go back to my main projects: The sprue actually was a blue one. 👀

I know the camera is ever so unforgiving, but I think I consider these #TraitorsToll guards done and ready for battle.

Maybe I'll add some subtle weathering. Not too much though. It's a fantasy setting, they’re allowed to look pristine lol.
