That sounds wonderful. Have you read Pilgrimage by Dorothy Richardson? Her main character, Miriam, is a translator and writes some interesthing things about it.

Two types of disorder I hate equally and differently. Like a calm settled home environment and cannot stand airports. Train stations used to be somewhat inviting but not with frequent rail delays and cancellations! Too many roadworks and potholes now too! A quiet country lane is ideal.
