This one was fun! Lots of alternate "solutions" if factors can repeat, but I had to write out the prime factors in order to solve it with unique factors...

Woohoo! @pwharris.bsky.social you finally got to meet @howiehua.bsky.social in person!!
15 • 36
30 • 18
60 • 9
10 • 6 • 9
10 • 54 --> 540
[Double & halve twice til I got to a multiplication fact I knew]
Or use time!
4 • 15 minutes is 1 hour (60 min)
15 • 4 • 9
60 • 9 --> 540

I've searched for #RecreationalMath ... @duanehabecker.com uses this tag sometimes.
And I assume some of #MathSky feed is recreational-type.

I'm using BlueSky app for iPhone. Not sure how robust the search function is here (yet)
Anyway, glad you are here for the math-y conversation 😊

And the notification button at bottom of screen does show which post someone liked, or can click on that notification to see more.

You can pin feeds to the top of your screen. For example, I have #iTeachMath and #MathsToday and #MathSky pinned (there is some overlap)
Search for those (choose Feeds in left menu) & pin them. Easier to see a curated feed than aimless scrolling.

Fence posts vs. fence panels!
[the numbers in the sequence are like fence posts, every two numbers are separated by a "panel" which is the jump... Ss have a hard time at first seeing that 3 numbers separated by 2 jumps, n numbers separated by n-1 jumps]

Gotta be happy about the small things, because ... {waves at the world around me} 🤷‍♀️
And very happy to have you as my friend.

I switch between a couple of start words. The one I chose today helped me get it in TWO! (Rarely happens! So glad I didn't used my other start word today.)

73 – 37
Imagine a number line
37 to 40 = 3
40 to 70 = 30
70 to 73 = 3
Add up those jumps = 36
Or
Subtract by place value with negative numbers permitted
73 – 37
70 – 30 = 40
3 – 7 = -4
40 + -4 = 36

How about reframing this as being empowered to ask for what you need (self advocacy)??
Sending hugs.

David, I had to craft this alt text carefully on a different "how many" question...
