Once all the regions were complete, the final fight with the Kringal happens in the pear orchard.
I had a lot of fun naming his moves and weapon (Listmaker). He was based on mz4250's Santa Barbarian miniature (also who I got the goose hydra from)

Region 5 - dancers, drummers, pipers, and leapers! Naturally this had to be in a theater. I went with a ghostly performance that was being sabotaged (also by ghosts). I was shooting for a final fantasy 6 opera house vibe, but also my brain was turning into pudding from running so frequently

After, they have to track down the stolen herd of reindeer and stop a group of cultists from sacrificing them to summon the Grinch.
Their reward: eggnog, which is a combination healing potion and stamina potion that granted an extra action on 1 token

Region 4 -- the reindeer farm -- inspired by bg3, the farm has been ransacked and is on fire. 8 firbolg milk maids are throughout the buildings and should be rescued before the fire spreads. This was a fun skill challenge with better rewards depending on how many maids are saved.

Healing aura restored 1 HP per "activation" and soothing aura restored 1 stress. This was still we beta 1.5 rules, so the swans activated after every action token was spent (move close, aura within very close).
It didnt matter much though as the party killed the swans first

The whole thing took about 6 sessions (2 to 3 hours each). The Partridge was a reskin of a giant eagle and was fought in a pear orchard. Which then revealed the 5 golden rings on crumbling pillars. Each ring created a portal to another region and completing the region would restore the pillar.

We made it for new year's dinner a few years back. It was good, but the overall enjoyment to effort wasn't quite high enough.
Ultimately, i think a good steak empanada fills the same role (roll?), but is far less complicated.

Usually 1 solo or leader, 1 support, skulk, or brute, and the rest minions, horde, standard or ranged.
My favorite encounters are ones where I have some tool to mitigate damage to the "main" enemy. Either healing or my own "I am your shield" equivalent.

I've found that i need to print out the stat blocks for each adversary (and draw extra blocks to track duplicates). I try not to make things too complicated for myself by only having 1 or 2 baddies with a lot of abilities.
