I was just thinking that I hope Bluesky is ready for the inevitable wave of refugees.

I was almost going to defend her, because I only read the highlight, but that sentence is worse. Somehow the rest of the paragraph is worse still.

Maybe he's just a pipe bomb enthusiast. (I'm only half joking.)

The combination of all those components certainly suggests pipe bombs. It's interesting that he was collecting them gradually for more than a year, though. It's hard to believe that he was planning an attack for all that time.

Maybe just make it subject to regulation. Congress can establish a non-partisan pardon board, and the President can only pardon people they recommend. They can give the President broader power for specific situations, like draft dodging.

Ironically, it was a lot more successful as an illustration of criminal procedure than as an xkcd knockoff. It doesn't look much like xkcd at all.

Yes, probably. It's clear that he didn't mean Vance, though.

This is dicta, so it's not binding, but it strongly suggests that the judge will dismiss the indictment again if it comes back.

If you watch the video, he immediately clarifies that "my man" was Kamala Harris.

I appreciate the work that Aaron Rupar does, but you can't trust his summaries of the clips that he posts. They're often very misleading.

I'm surprised by how many of these names are familiar. I would have guessed that the most-cited scholars would be people I've never heard of, writing about un-sexy technical topics.

At least it's not actively misleading, like "defund the police". (And yes, that was promoted as a slogan by some activists, even if it was never mainstream.)
November 30, 2025 at 8:05 PM
Was "it takes a village" ever a proper slogan, or was it just something that someone said that Republicans then repeated for years? That's a sincere question. I don't remember where it came from.

We had a President who could jog. People called him fat.

He looked ridiculous running away from them.

Hilarious on the ground. I used to have geese and a blue heron right outside my window every day. The heron was okay in the water, but as soon as he set foot on land the geese would start bullying him.

And Willis knew that, because endless RICO trials that amount to very little are her trademark. For example:

It's not that he wasn't guilty. Adding the RICO charge guaranteed that there wouldn't be a trial for years. Without RICO (and without getting her entire office disqualified,) there likely would have been a trial before the election.
