It does occur to me that some agencies do let you ask for an advance on a contracted advance. I can totally see a Pulitzer winner getting an advance portion of her contracted advance from her agency.

Was going to say my editor saw no pages on book I sold on a single log line. First he saw of it was when I had draft, years late... But *then* I remembered my AGENT had seen several iterations of aborted drafts over those same years 😆. She had to ask for the extensions, she wanted proof of work lol

We had a fairly large table in here before, but even so, the space always felt huge and underused. This fits just right!

It was a big bucket list item and I'm glad we did it. I told him if we're doing it let's do it properly and get something nice enough that it gets listed in the will 😆

It also has the advantage of being large enough that we can also both engage in various hobbies at the same time AND have space left over to eat there if we wanted to 😆

The amount of money we had to make to FEEL middle class is so high I feel embarrassed saying the number out loud. But it's only in the last year that we've actually made enough money where we could "save up" for things instead of feeling like we had to use every windfall to stock up on canned goods
