learned a bit about gambling in Japan because of Toji tbh lmfao

I didn't realize casinos are/were like completely non-existent over there and so instead there's the takarakuji lottery, pachinko, and sports betting like we see him do in the anime :o

a rough, unfinished sketch of Toji Fushiguro (from Jujutsu Kaisen) with my OC Miriam, sitting in some stands together. He has an arm loosely draped over her shoulders while the other is gesturing ahead of himself (u can barely make it out but he's holding tickets in this hand too). He's smirking confidently while telling her: "You said you wanted to pay me back somehow. This is how you're gonna do that for me. You've never watched Kyōtei before, anyway." Looking rather disappointed, Miriam frowns and replies: "So... gambling. *Again*..." (Toji would 100% rope someone he likes into gambling with him at some point, change my mind... even funnier when *her* job is in finance of all things LOL)

How is that *my* fault?" (Gojo does not reply to this question because he will not own up to forgetting his own student on the first day... naturally lmfao)

I always get random urges to make really edgy OCs or take current ones and just... make them S U F F E R (or inflict the suffering), so to avoid doing that to Rumi (my main JJK OC):

A WIP of an intimidating woman with shoulder-length dirty blonde hair half-tied back in a small ponytail while the rest hangs loose, green eyes that are sharp and glaring (accentuated with prominent dark circles), a small scar barely visible across the right side of her face crossing the bridge of her nose, and a very scribbly (and rough) design for an outfit. She wears (atm), a black haori over a white burial kimono, all tucked under a wide obi sash that is tied in a bow at the back. The long sleeves are tucked into gauntlets that are barely visible in the crop of the sketch. Design (the outfit anyway) is not set in stone, because I am impulsive and figuring it out as I go instead of having an actual design *before* starting a big reference image hahaha

He's checking in with my (off-screen) OC again after being AWOL from her life for quite some time to see how her arm's been faring. Gotta check-in on the welfare of ur future pupils, after all... even when ur teaching "methods" are shady at best like Gojo's lmfao)

Toji won't raise his son but he certainly will:

A) lose all his money easily (via reckless gambling),
B) regain money (via murder) just as 'easily',
and C) ...train a curse like a pet to hold all of his valuable shit I guess (?)

Toji sits hunched over a table, cheek resting against one hand and a fistful of unlucky gambling tickets of some kind in the other. Unsurprising to everyone but himself apparently: he is a loser (again). Toji frowns and looks disappointed (possibly somewhat repulsed) at the worm-like curse (he always has with him) that he's holding under the arms like a troublesome pet or toddler. He doesn't have anything to say regarding this and is just... awkwardly holding its stare. The curse seems content, though. (I read on the wiki he apparently trained it like a pet or smth and haven't stopped thinking about it lmao)

Nobara bursts into Megumi's room by slamming open his door (BANG). She's tense and tightly gripping her phone in her one hand as she yells at him, "FUSHIGURO, EMERGENCY MEETING! RIGHT NOW." Megumi, annoyed af, takes his headphones off and gives her an irritated look, "Can't you knock? I'm in the middle of something." (he's just listening to music but I feel u, man) Nobara does not care that Megumi is "busy", and shoves her phone in front of his face, waggling it for emphasis, as she insists (loudly), "THIS IS *WAY* MORE IMPORTANT." Megumi scoffs ("Tch.") at her insistence/attitude and is reaching to hold her phone steady to look at whatever tf is so important (apparently).

Rumi (my Jujutsu Kaisen OC) is tossed a staff from Maki off-screen, who is then lecturing her: "You can't just specialize with one specific tool -- What if you find yourself without your favourite one? Then what? You'll die looking like an idiot." Nobara and Megumi approach Rumi, with Nobara asking, "How'd training go?" Rumi, looking slightly worn-down and covered in injuries and variously sized bandages, responds, "Uhh... My bandages have bandages. But I think it was productive."

what 11+ years of digital art progress/improvement looks like :')

I haven't done much 'proper' lineart since my OG RWBY days, but it's still WILD to see how much I've improved with p much everything... even if I never outgrew being heavy-handed AF with pen pressure lolol
