Also, brother said he and this dude were in Vegas, played some blackjack. My brother put down a couple hundred just to have fun, his friend put down a grand, lost it, put down another, lost it. Brother came out like 30 bucks ahead.

Depends how strictly the sub is moderated though. As others hasn't said, sometimes the mods are tyrants. Which tends to lead to a split

Yeah there's reading people and math involved to play it at a high level, but you can get screwed over by the flop regardless. And if you pay the blinds and call or raise early, you're losing that money if you fold. The skill is still luck dependant

My brother told me one of his friends, dude we worked with in college is a professional poker player. Not that he's sponsored, not that he's a streamer. Just that there's apparently strip center poker dens where he plays. I didn't even know those existed

I'll give it a listen but I figure they mean the pope and the bishops are pretty soft about it. And that's because social teaching is so tied up in politics.
