Today’s project- a chunky knit throw blanket- is a Christmas gift for my youngest daughter. I tried using 25mm needles but ended up ditching them because it was much faster just using my fingers.

Summer top is blocking. My daughter tried it on when she was home for Thanksgiving so I was finally able to finish knitting it. I’ve posted all the details before so I’ll just say I’m happy to have it done before Christmas. 🧶

1) Kaizen cardigan, set aside because I’m going to have to do some major tweaking of shoulders to get a good fit
2) summer top for my daughter, waiting for her to visit and try it on before finishing length

Made a cowl with the leftover angora from Alaska sweater. No pattern- the pine tree stitch uses multiples of 16 +1, plus I added 6 garter stitches on each end for buttons & buttonholes. It’s soooo airy & soft!

Made a cowl with the leftover angora from Alaska sweater. No pattern- the pine tree stitch uses multiples of 16 +1, plus I added 6 garter stitches on each end for buttons & buttonholes. It’s soooo airy & soft!

This is going to be my not-ugly Christmas sweater.My first attempt at color work, so I’ve included a picture of floats, I think they’re ok?

Modifications- decreased sleeves 2 st every 5 rows, and didn’t finish edges with i-cord. Instead, did stretchy bind off then crocheted slip stitch border below.
