ちなみに英TESCOでは、もはや傷みきってべちゃべちゃのイチゴも半額以下の値段で売ってたりするし、パクチーとか生姜とかマイナー品目は全然賞味期限切れてたりする。しかもそれを買う人が居る。それもそれでどうかと思うが、フードロスを減らす精神は評価する。

「修士進学=研究者キャリアに進む覚悟」みたいなことも日本に居た時、周りの先生から言われた。実際そういう心構えで留学している日本人学生も多かった。研究者になりたい場合は確かに日本の様なカリキュラムは強いかもしれないが、修士課程が「研究者育成」以外の価値を提供できる／している現代において、修士から研究重視アプローチを取る必要性も無いのかも。留学生の受け入れや院生人口を増やすという意味でも尚更、修士は高度な専門知識のインプット、博士を「研究者育成プログラム」として位置付けた方が、修士進学のハードルが下がるし、院留学で日本に来る留学生も増えそう。

My research focuses on how East Asia should navigate the challenges of reconciliation amid ongoing conflict and division, particularly in the context of contested historical memory, value-based disagreements, and emotional responses to the past injustices of war and colonialism.

Starting this September I will be entering the Doctoral Program at the Graduate School of Political Science at Waseda University! In addition to my current focus on historical and structural injustice, I plan to further explore theories of reconciliation and related discussions on democratic theory.
