What is going on here? It's not even like "kicker - keyword" is entirely unprecedented, it shows up on Traverse Valley. All of this feels so strange, like WOTC is intentionally messing with us. if it was ONLY missing keywords, I could understand it as weirdness with the brand deal.

investigate is gone, the cards just tell you to "make a clue token" even though the investigate keyword would make flavour sense.
channel is gone, its just "pay a cost, discard this card: [ability]"
kicker is on SOME cards but others say "as an additional cost to cast this spell, you may [cost]."

pop psychology vs actual psychology in pop psychology, "trauma bonding" is described as bonding with someone over shared trauma or similar past experiences. in actual psychology, a trauma bond refers to a situation where someone develops strong feelings of sympathy, loyalty, dependence, and attachment towards their abuser. in pop psychology, "gaslighting" is used to reference when someone lies to you, questions you, or disagrees over what happened. in actual psychology, gaslighting is an abuse tactic where you are manipulated to question your reality, memory, or sanity, not just an argument over what happened. in pop psychology, being "triggered" refers to being put off by something that made you uncomfortable or annoyed. in actual psychology, a trigger is something that causes a sudden increase in symptoms, like flashbacks in PTSD or compulsions in OCD. it's not just a source of general discomfort. in pop psychology, "intrusive thoughts" refer to random impulses you might want to act on; for example, wanting to do something unexpected like dye your hair pink or eat cake for dinner. in actual psychology, intrusive thoughts are unwanted, involuntary thoughts that go against your real values and desires. you don't want to act on them, and them coming true would be your worst nightmare. they can be very prominent and distressing in disorders like OCD and PTSD.
