He'll be pardoned.

Honestly surprised it's not an immediate resignation.

I'm betting on 10-12 instant quits among the GOP if Trump starts a war with Venezuela.
November 30, 2025 at 4:33 AM
There's a reason.

A simple reason.

"Wag the dog."

He's about to kill Venezuelans to try to distract from the Epstein files. And if that fails, he'll declare martial law--since we're "at war"--and go full Hitler mode.

That's the endgame.

However, his carrier does flights to Tokyo, so he *might* be able to swing arranging his schedule so he flies in and has an off day here.

Sis will be easy, she loves coming here and she has so much PTO saved up she could like take an entire year off.

Older bro is the wild card. He's an international pilot and he just started at a new airline, so he may not be able to swing a vacation quite yet.

My younger brother lives in Tokyo, so he'll be coming down for their visit. I'm trying to get sis and older bro here as well to turn it into a mini family reunion.

Shenanigans é de longe o meu favorito.
November 30, 2025 at 1:33 AM
Easy.

Most mass media is now owned by billionaires.

Billionaires love Trump.

Thus, they force the media outlets they own to cover for Mango Mussolini.

America's media ownership laws must be heavily revamped after the regime is dismantled.

Yep. Whoever pushed the button on that second strike should be court martialed.

Non-sequitur: there's an anime called How The Realist Hero Rebuilt The Kingdom, where the main character uses The Prince as his guidebook to rule.

It goes way into the book, quoting passages and explaining how he refers to it when making decisions.

I don't even like anime, but I liked that show.

Move to Japan.

They're begging people to buy houses here.

Though I'll admit we had to look long and hard to find a good house we could afford in the city.

Most of the cheap housing they're desperate to sell off are in rural towns and villages.

Bro is retired Navy officer.

According to him, even after retirement, some parts of the UCMJ still apply to officers. Do one of those things, they can un-retire you and haul you into a court martial.

Dunno if it applies to enlisted.

I have a toddler and two hyperacticlve cats.

What are these "pottery" and "plant" objects you describe. They sound quite...breakable.
November 24, 2025 at 8:44 AM
No, he's going to kill people to distract from the Epstein Files.

The oil is just a bonus.

A no return policy would KILL a hardware store that caters to contractors.

Contractors return unused materials all the time.

California isn't just the hot desert of southern CA. The mountains there get very cold and have tons of snow in the winter.

It's probably the most climate diverse state in the union.

Brilliantly petty.

And for those not familiar with civil service, GS13 is HIGH RANK. GS15 is max.

An equivalent military rank would be Major General.

Dad worked 23 years before he made GS13. He held that rank for 10 years because he stopped actively trying to advance, just stayed in a job he liked til he retired.
November 22, 2025 at 2:08 PM
The key here, though, is that Greene will get a prorated pension based on her $174,000 salary.

My dad's base income as a GS13, not counting years of service or time in grade, was $155,000.

Yes, Greene gets less, but she will still pull down comfortable money due to that base salary.

Total cheese.
November 22, 2025 at 2:01 PM
Correct.

She just has to wait.
November 22, 2025 at 2:28 AM
All she has to do is wait. I'm sure the money she got inside trading and the bribes will hold her over til she vests.
November 22, 2025 at 1:56 AM
5 year mark.

She becomes eligible for the pension at 5 years.
November 22, 2025 at 1:53 AM
Yeah, big difference between her and civil servants like my dad is that she served 5 years and did nothing and will most likely have a pension just as big as my dad's, who served 33 years in the State Department and worked his butt off the entire time.
