Oh, I’ve seen it about 10 times. Always love it.

I just watched it last week!

Amazing!

Would love to know what you think after you watch it. I’ve watched it 5-6 times now. It’s one of the best “spirit of Christmas” movies I’ve ever seen, and I cry nearly every time I see it. It’s just… perfect.

Highly recommend. Really amazing movie.

Muppets Christmas carol is a perfect Christmas movie. For me it’s either Klaus, or Elf. Elf just holds a very special place in my heart. I struggled with Christmas a lot… Elf has positive memories for me. Klaus, on the other hand, is just way better than I thought it would be. So much heart.

I for one love reasonable disagreements that lead to discussion and sometimes debate. It’s fun when everyone knows that we are all chill about it.

Maybe I’ll check it out!

I have watched it multiple times and fully agree. It’s legendary, and underrated.

Okay, get ready for this. Hot frosty is exactly what I was thinking of for a Christmas movie that knows it’s bad, but is kinda good, and therefore great.

Yeah, I low key loved it, knowing full well it was bad. It beat 4 other movies I watched last year that were way worse.

Ah, the rare occurrence of a Christmas movie that thinks it’s great, and is literally perfect.

Love you, buddy! This is great!

What instrument do you play!? Also why have you not been doing headstands when we hang!?

I know I was a bit long winded. But I think we should forgive the show of taking 10 years, surviving Covid, and two strikes, and let it be what it is. A fun, new-age love letter to 80s horror, kids on bikes, and D&D. It’s done very well, is accessible, and takes itself just seriously enough. Enjoy.

It is constantly nodding and winking at every 80s classic trope. It offers a lot of fan service for those of us who get the references. But I think the show is special because it manages to be its own thing, and a unique original story, while also constantly pointing to its references openly.

And let’s be real…Defining my genre mash up in a nutshell; kids on bikes, 80s tropes, lovecraftian horror, mystery thriller, monster movie, all wrapped up in a D&D bow. At times the show does stretch into silliness, but I for one love that. IMO it balances horror, mystery, drama, comedy very well.

Hopper & Joyce need to learn to trust the kids, but we also see how they are both still dealing with their own trauma. Trauma plays a major role in this show. All characters are overcoming, or being burdened by it, & it’s actually very well done. On the surface the show is “fun” but it has a heart.

Mike taking on the leader role, Dustin being the heart. Steve being not the brightest, but the bravest, Nancy being the badass. Other characters have grown into new things. I’m loving Robin and Wills time together, she’s come out and is truly finding herself, and Will wants that for himself.

Characters have progressed and grown, changed in many ways, yet remain an awesome group to watch. 4 episodes in each character plays the role they always played, & in fact, we see many of them return to what they are meant to be. Lucas putting on the camo and grabbing binoculars made me so happy.
