Very sad I wasted time on where winds meet cos I thought the AI was procedurally generated dialogue trees. But it was LLMs at the end of the day. Plus some VO sounds uncanny but we won't know if it's AI for sure cos no disclose 🤷

Once human has gen AI allegedly as well and it's from a miny company by the same Dev as where winds meet (netease). And no disclosure. Or they use very vague disclosure sadly like in the Inzoi case where they don't specify where exactly and hum much gen AI was used.

For me it was "Return to Mysterious Island" by Microids when I was a kid. The game was on CD (like all games back in that time) but I loved it so much. I think I fell in love with adventure, quest games starting from that moment. I still very much enjoy a good adventure game when I can find one.

Netease used gen AI in several games. Once Human had AI adds + players admit they saw AI images in the game itself. Some otome game had gen AI images as well. But there si more with this company like cash grab monetization. Mind a $40k ship, for example? (where winds meet paid prop).

With Krafton (Inzoi + PUBG dev) there is a whole other drama with a lawsuit going on where the CEO asked chat GPD for advice on said lawsuit. It was officially confirmed it was true (court recordings + CEO admitting it). 😆

But agree, it feels so... unnatural. And some defending saying regular NPC dialogue is boring. Like what a "great timeline" to think that written text is more boring than the one generated by a machine.

No, inzoi is made by Krafton. Where winds meet is by Netease (some of their games have gen AI) + other issues.
