I find it ridiculous that so many popular books get boiled down to "Faerie smut" or "dragon smut" when they're, objectively, just not. Calling 50 shades "Mommy P*rn" was derogatory but at least that book was spicy AF. ACOTAR and Fourth Wing are fantasy novels that also have romance and sex in them.

They're very good at it since it helped them earn money when they first left home. It was a requirement for entertaining patrons, customers, ect.
