When I saw the phone alert his morning, "Indiana fights off Miami," I was relieved to read further and see that it's just a football game.

My “For You” feed feels very discombobulated right now, with alternating posts of:

- Indiana University finishes one of the all-time great sports rags-to-riches stories with college football championship

- Trump does something else that will harm us and take generations to fix

It is cosmically beautiful that the 2025 college football season was bookended by (former Indiana coach) Lee Corso's bouquet-covered retirement and the Hoosiers going 16-0.

The Fit is the epitome of “it’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.” Honda ceasing US production on them was a damning indictment of our nation obsession with big vehicles.
I don’t want a humvee, I want a 2020 Honda fit

And that’s not even getting into how you can fit a whole Costco shopping trip into the back, with room to spare, thanks to those Magic Seats.
You guys have no idea how good this car is for what we’re doing. You can lurk in alleys or behind parked SUVs. It drives like a go-cart. You’re three feet off the ground with exceptional visibility so I can pull snap u-turns or cut behind convoys

I’m going to be the old man (41) who talks about understanding the code the AI generates and being able to write it by hand. The kids will say I’m out of date, and I’ll never be sure they’re wrong. The indignity will never be lost on me that I’m talking about hand-writing god damn Javascript.

There are so many things in tech where “fix the next most painful thing” goes a long way towards improvement.
You can turn observability from team complaint to competitive advantage without ripping out the entire logging infrastructure.

Our approach? Fix the next most painful thing. Build momentum. Transfer knowledge.

1. Here's what I like about the points Cuban lays out: they break a large problem (switching over to a different healthcare system) into smaller chunks.

What I want to see from Dems/progressives: a series of smaller/more tightly-scoped bills that, collectively, shift us to more sane healthcare.
I believe wholeheartedly that it is achievable. But not by just wishing it will happen.

To get there we need to
1. Make the big insurance companies divest non ins biz.
2. Complete transparency on pricing, and the documentation behind the pricing.

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.
