The festive crafts are fully underway in our house. One cardboard ‘gingerbread’ house a day until December. With the added bonus of REALLY helping make space in the recycling bins.

Recycled cardboard, scissors and a white marker or chalk pen (or paint) and you’re good to go. 📦✂️✏️

Congratulations! I found Orbital very hard going despite its size so extra kudos to you. Since we’re coming into Autumn I’m going to suggest something witchy…

Just two digi gals brightening up week two of summer in the office by trying the viral M&S sandwich - purely in the name of research. 💭

Verdict was mixed - as @misslbairdfc.bsky.social could tell instantly by our puzzled first bite faces! 🍓

Loved this super simple yet effective idea for a QR display in @stfrancisp6.bsky.social! As an extension, learners scan to access a Blooket focused on practicing whichever times table they want to work on. Independent and interactive with pupil choice and reflection on learning and progress. 👌🧮✨

Despite every day feeling a bit like April Fools Day recently, this remains true. Media and information literacy is more important now than ever and April Fools day pranks by big companies can be a great way into discussing the importance of critically evaluating information online. 🤡🤔💭

I could not love this more! My big question is, did they glue it?! I'm still considering whether to glue our @digilearnfalk.bsky.social QR code 🤔💭

Reading challenge for 2024 complete! 🙌

60/60 and managed to keep on top of collecting my favourite quote from each book. Feeling mighty pleased with myself and all that.

My favourite book of the year? Chain-Gang All-Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah. 📖

I have always ALWAYS wanted to make my own wreath. For my first time I decided to go big (although I can’t take credit for the garlands!). 🎄

Last week there was quite a lot of chat in various places about QR codes made of Lego. So obviously this is what I’ve spent most of my Saturday doing. Very fun, very mathematical, LOTS of problem solving. 🙌

I am beyond delighted with this. Every Wednesday after school throughout last session was VERY well spent. 🙌

And of the 36 books of the year so far this set had some questionable but fun ones, a terrifying re-read, a perspective shifter and the one that stared a mild witchcraft obsession. 🧙‍♀️

Then I went through what I’m now calling my Blue Cover Period. This crop has my FAVOURITE book of the year so far. ⛓️💫

I’m 36 books deep into the year and I’ve been collecting my favourite quotes from each as I’ve been going along. Started off strong with these lot, one of which made me feel as an adult how I felt as a child reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the first time. 🍫🏭💭🏬
