Good take. Private schools are intrinsically anti-democraric and public schools are wildly underfunded.

To "yes and“, we should have enough schools and teachers to keep academic class sizes to fifteen or fewer students, and build the infrastructure to ensure kids can safely walk and bike to school.

I use it unironically at work. I get that it sounds pretentious, but I think that helps communicate that the goal is to elevate one repository over the others, and that that's an important thing to do.

I am not sure how you can support that and be a good person. I don't think you can.
