One Esk Nineteen is tired.

you cannot do anything ironically.

life is action, and life is good only when action is a joy.
gosh, it’s really sad that the state of the country is such that people have to depend on Gofundme instead of the existing support systems for their transition

which kind of ioctls? i was kinda hoping for the server to smooth over nasty impl details like this so the client doesn’t have to worry about them, but maybe i am underestimating how much they impact the interface?

i’m not sure i follow, tcl wish seems to be a REPL? how are layouts related?

yes, something i would want from the “structured rpc” step is a way for the process to request creating an interactive widget. but that requires changes to the process, and there are a million CLI programs in the world.

"structured messages with built-in reflection" is the dream, yeah. i want something like powershell Get-Member for every process in my shell, every feature of my terminal emulator, every part of the line editor!

yeah, unfortunately there's no easy answers in the space right now. i have my own answer (flower.jyn.dev), but it's very much a prototype and i would feel bad recommending it in real systems.

i think right now the best mainstream thing is mesonbuild.com, it's very "normal" while making good choices

quietly obfuscate your intentions. add something that you're afraid will make an editor ask "why is this here". that stuff is important, even in genres or parts of stories where you think it might not be
