Other than the garage, how do you get to the bathtubs in the mud room?

Thank you for being a bright spot in our lives. (And for sharing Max with us.)

I'm sitting in my car in a park taking a break from reading today. I decided to do that rather than overtime to clear out some backlog projects. And when I looked up? Glorious nature graced my view.

Shined a beam of warm sunlight into my core, and left me a nugget of joy.

My boss is a woman. She's a statistical anomaly in both the company and the industry. I don't know where the fantasy that "office work is run by women" came from, but it's just that: a fantasy. There's certainly a lot of women in the office, but it's not dominated by them by a long shot.

Well, it's been something, at least. Not sure what, but I know I don't want to go through it again.

As someone who works in aviation, I wish more people had this philosophy.

Stuff breaks. It's better to catch it between flights or on the ground than in the air.

I used to work mortgages (HELOCs) back in the day. The first trust I had to do (randomly assigned) was a blind trust for a famous person. I'm still bound by an NDA, but what I can share was that their name was not on any of the mortgage documents.

I learned enough to like the concept of using them.
