Boomer who still believes that by working together for the greater good we can make the world a better place for future generations. Follower of Jesus, not some charismatic minister.
Ahh yes!

So I make an adjustment: He gets audited and they determined that his clever accountants found a loophole so he never paid into Medicare, and they rule him ineligible.

In my fantasy world:

Americans, realizing how harmful monopoly-owned media is for their health, abandon Tik-Tok and the rest. Revenue craters, and the stocks becomes worthless. Having lost his fortune, Larry Ellison can no longer afford health insurance, even on the ACA marketplace.

Anyone notice the similar plastic smiles of Hassett and Johnson when they spew their lies?

Understand the his system=oligarchy. We broke the system with ACA, Medicaid, Social Security, Medicare, etc. So yes they are upset now, because we showed them that it didn't have to be this way.

Don't be obtuse about this. Trump wants more assets, and Venezuela has oil. His negotiating technique is mafia-level threats. He hopes to emerge from this with an exclusive right to their oil.

The rest of the world needs to get involved. We have a Putin wannabe about to invade his version of "Ukraine."

They are restructuring to thrive in the autocracy. Won't they be disappointed when democracy prevails?

In one of the all-time great scenes in the Bible, the serpent goads Eve into eating the fruit with the promise of being like God. It's one of the many passages where people have had a second look. Have we been manipulated into thinking the serpent was a bad guy when in fact he was a good guy?

I'm not sure it matters that much whether he is the evil genius or the evil stoolpigeon.

No rational person supports Trump. If they're still cheering for team Trump, then their love of evil has overtaken their reason.

I had to look that up to realize you were kidding. For those, like me, who don't remember: The Bowling Green massacre is a fictitious incident of Islamic terrorism mentioned by Kellyanne Conway, then–counselor to President Donald Trump, in several interviews.

Anyone ever heard of "turtle island liberation front" before today? I'm searching online, and I can't find anything earlier than a few hours ago. I'm not a google search expert, so maybe I'm missing something.

Most on the right belong to the cult because they get aroused by feeling like they are getting the best of members in the "other" camp. Combating them online is counter-productive. It's like handing a drink to an alcoholic. Get off Twitter if you imagine you are combating the right there.

It's like some of us are still surprised that Satan hates God.

They score points in their cult by notching their belts for inflicting human suffering. They are the personification of evil.

That's like saying we are watching Blockbuster Video deteriorate steadily, day by day.

The point of the post isn't that the headline is inaccurate. The point is about what WaPo is choosing to write about. If Biden were president they would be writing an accurate article about how many people suffer with rising prices rather than an accurate article about the downside to deflation.

If anyone on here still is paying a dime to WaPo, STOP!

Why didn't someone pull the fire alarm? Dial 911 and report that active shooters have taken people hostage?
December 15, 2025 at 12:17 AM
The real motivation is that once I have the DVD in my house, no corporation can block me from watching it. Streaming is great, but don't fall into the trap that the content you see will be available an hour from now.

You/we do not have the power or right to manipulate these people into being better people. You need to leave X. When you do, suddenly their behavior is no longer a problem for you/us to solve.

I suspect that Michael is in fact convinced, and he's terrified that if we give it a try, then the profits of the gun lobby will decline.
