My understanding is vanity.blue just owns the edm.blue account and theyre just creating a subdomain for you for free. My worry is if they every decide to abandon the domain your username is gone

Yeah so the subdomains are meant to be for when you have a whole staff of people but could also just be used for making more accounts. The article is here: bsky.social/about/blog/4...

would have edmidentity.com and your staff members could have like grant.edmidenty.com and so on. Its a way of verification since domain names can be looked at and see what is hosted on there.

So my understanding is the protocol that this app is built on is based all in domain names. So if another app is built using same protocol you have all your info saved on your domain already no need to make another account. Then the benefit for brands like you guys is your main account (cont.)
