Most of those look fixable - with some co-ordination, co-operation and probably smaller additional cash than gets wasted by not fixing them.
Surely it would be "low hanging fruit" and easy political point-scoring (over the last lot) for this govt to fix most of your points.

reminds me of my elderly mother, in early 2016, having listened to R4 and saying "Well £350m really is a lot of money".... completely missing the context of the £billions spent on so much else.

its such a farce I wouldn't imagine it would take very many votes away from either party. and those it does take are probably noise ejjats that those parties won't really miss.

it certainly seems stupid when what is needed is much bigger pension contributions than now. reducing the incentive will kill any chance of people saving more.
also - convention was always tax-free going it, taxed when paid put (as pension). so where is the anncmnt reducing tax on pension salary?

yes, seems they talk of "clearing the backlog" as justification. in that case (aside from misgivings about not having juries per se) at what pace have they calculated this would clear the backlog and so they change would revert then, yes? that bit seems to have not been mention - for some reason.

its mainly trump that's weaponised it to which others have had to respond. given we still (I think) want rules-based and stable trade being back inside the CU with our other European nations would be much better for us and less dependant on the brain farts of the ailing US "leader"

that was why I used to like NN - they didn't treat the audience like todlers and dumb everything down to 2-3 minute voxpops. Obvs that was before it became the political Wogan show.

maybe in large parts because whilst this is "news" its also NOT news, in the sense that everyone already knew it. its 'just' been formally recognised. we knew at the time how bad Johnson govt was and the misdemeanours were not really a shock to learn.
