Cartoon liker. Enjoys talking about it on podcasts, panels and over some good dinner and drinks. A dandy guy on Earth.
A supermarket tape of dubious origin labeled "2 Hours Of Cartoons!" had such wonders as Princess Knight and Getter Robo 2 on it, though the sight of Captain Harlock blasting naked green chicks who then burst into flames made a real impression on this six year old lad. Thanks Mammy!

My stance on Anti-Imagination and Garbage Person Thinking remains firm.

Anime you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Streamline, Manga Ent., or Toonami

The Big O, being Cast In The Name Of God, staunchly observes the liturgical calendar.

"Get ready friends for the most rich, outrageously over-the-top opus dedicated to all things fatty and delicious, at the defiantly transgressive Chez Toole, where I finally and definitively meet my match, my Waterloo of gluttony"

Oh aye, and with this added wrinkle: bringing Takao Saito's manga incarnation of James Bond to life.

That 70s streak is apparent as, whether it was before Gene Hackman got involved or otherwise, -somebody- on this was looking to make a psuedo sequel to The Conversation.

It gains so many layers when you realise this prison escape all transpires on July 14th, or Bastille Day

You've got a lot of choice today for who I mean by this so take your pick, or indeed take both ('-' )

"Well it falls on a Friday this year so legally I can extend Halloween into the weekend" he rationalised to himself.

Frankly amazed I haven't come across Cosmo from Chainsaw Man yet this Halloween, so maybe I gotta be the one to post 'er up.

Also love these little papercraft monster dudes I received as a small birthday gift. Might let 'em occupy their little corner of the kitchen table a while longer 🕯

Well prepared for the approaching awkward changeover between Halloween and Christmas.

The Venture Brothers Halloween special has become an annual watch for me, and this little sentiment from Dr Orpheus is a big part of it. Be a sicko, be kind and have fun everybody 🕯️

If you see this, I implore you to post a pic from your device without context.

Huh, wonder if any of the work Aramaki turned in might explain the provenance of this anime-ass exo-suit that shows up at the end of Shane Black's THE PREDATOR.

Say his name and he shall appear, it's the return of the Jagi-O-Lantern 🕯

Is this analogous to the Irish 4-in-1? Chips, rice and fried chicken all covered in curry sauce

Congratulations to Professor Shizuma from Giant Robo on their transition. Lookin' good babes ✨️

Aforementioned but needs emphasising: if you can only make one art museum in London make it the V&A. The large gallery full of replica casts of artworks from around the world is worth the visit by itself.

Lesser appreciated Yoshiaki Kawajiri directorial motif: people running in parallel, just before getting into a fight.

Not unhappy, though certainly bemused by the pick. Wonder if this is consolation for it getting the axe despite winning some awards, as there are some quality bits in ol' Chojo.

Night shifts are a torment upon body and mind, though sometimes the views are worth it.

Every convention panelist has had their shit go sideways the day you have to present. Generally it's the computer's fault to start with, so another stupider computer's interference is never gonna help. But human ingenuity (and a folder full of videos) can work miracles.
