I read much less now than when I was a kid, but I remember cyoa/gamebooks were hugely compelling, which has resulted in an interest in literature generally & interactive fiction later in life. I wonder if choice of games type stuff could work as gateway material for the right age.

as someone who frequently installed mods to morrowind that would tank the framerate, locked at 15 is by no means too slow, what you don't want is an inconsistent fps that sometimes/often ends up below that.

I'm a liverpool supporter so I feel that 1000% but I've also been supporting them long enough that I'm emotionally ok with an extended period of poor performance. If they were to get relegated that'd be a different matter but knock wood they're hopefully not there.
