I’ve been home on short term disability since Jan 17th. Broke my elbow tripping over my dog. It’s been nice to be home sure all of the ice then snow. But I’m very much ready to go back to work.

Also I’m sad the Chiefs lost but I’m not depressed. They had a great season & so much pressure for a 3peat. That has to mess with their heads.

Those young years we don’t get back but at the same point we have to provide. I too spent yrs working long hours & missing out. It’s sucks & there is no easy solution.Everyone has to spend an equal time working late shifts. But those young yrs are gone in a blink.

Last night 1 of my bosses & I were talking. He wants to leave to have more time with his kids. But the benefits at our company are like no other in the business. His current 1 way commute is an hour. 1/of a few

Using the yuzu miso topping/spread from Trader Joe’s. It’s been sleeping in my cabinet since before Christmas. Now I’m kicking myself it’s one of the yummiest things I’ve ever encountered for veggies & fish.

Think firing the entire federal workforce will save America money?
Federal civilian employees account for just 4% of the federal budget. Even if someone like Musk—or any president—fired all of us, it wouldn’t make much of a dent in government spending. Don’t fall for it.

Getting of the phone with our daughter. She is turning into a fabulous well balanced human. Tomorrow she is off to get her septum pierced & I’m a bit envious. Glad she’s doing what she wants.

I’ve been working coming home in bed within 30 min I get up run errands & go to work. I am wholly exhausted. Trying to do all of this with a PSA flair up is so hard

Today I got a huge surprise. A review & a raise. Like woah wasn’t expecting that 4 mo into the job. It was all good news & I feel valued & appreciated after that. Hmm imagine more employers treats folks like folks & not like non sentient beings.

Finally had a solid day off to hang with hubby alone. Slept in, bookstore, & a long country drive. We picked a random place for lunch. It was a counter service in a bowling alley. They had good hush puppies. The the Chiefs won & he made fajitas for dinner.

Onyx Storm is out. J just walked in & asked “How many pages is that book” Not nearly enough. Yarros deserves & probably needs a break. So I’ll be patient.
