i like having like 6 or 7 different versions of this musical on hand to watch. wish I had that with other musicals.

while this isn't my favorite production of this musical, i do giggle at romeo and juliet being performed in Verona.

still a bit miffed, but the musicals have helped.

also thinking about how only the hungarian and italian production's included paris' death and only the hungarian one dedicated a song to it. The Duel getting a reprise is neat though.

watching other productions really make me appreciate the hungarian one more. like this japanese one, the romeo is way too pristine. still a fine production but i like the stylistic choices of the hungarian one more.

my romeo es julia fixation continues. really like how romeo/Dolhai Attila looks here. the disheveled look just works for me. wet cat vibes.

a combination of a mutual's post and my current fixation on romeo es julia has me watching the hungarian production of elisabeth again. this kitsch is neat, though I still prefer kaya and lepper's versions i think.

the hungarian production (romeo es julia) changing the context and placement of this song works pretty well IMO. also wish this place allowed longer than 3 minutes since I can't self-indulgently post the whole song

this part makes me chuckle a bit. the costumes + the choreography just amuse me.
