Former Christian. A Vermonter with deep ties to New Mexico. I love nature & pets. LGBTQIA ally. I love to laugh, so I follow the humor. I'm happy for this social group on Bluesky. Please understand that I am technologically challenged in my old age
I watch the CBS Evening News because I have since Cronkite. Tonight, that preview of the Kirk interview? I'm going to have to find a new nightly news.

Debbie Harry, Joan Jett, and, of course, Patti Smith were my favorites. Cyndi Lauper was my pop-punk icon, too

Those must be some tough potatoes to lead to a "see you next Tuesday". The worst I've done is call overdone rice a son-of-a-bitch😁

I have two children next door. The 12-year-old has been shoveling my walk and porch. It's nice being the old lady instead of the kid shoveling for 'donations'. I made decent money in the 70s that way. Youth is wonderful, but old age has its perks, too

Yup. Gaudy as hell

My mom lost a small stone off her ring. I crawled through shag carpeting for two days. Just as I found it my brother threw a dog treat. Mandy, the dachshund, swallowed the damned diamond. Three days of poop sifting and it was found. My mom gave me everything I asked for that Christmas

Jazz, Dahlia, and Willow all had a chance to debut in my grand-niece's unboxing videos

The movies I watch over and over are pure entertainment, usually horror or comedy. The movies that hit my soul last forever after one watch. They're often too heartbreaking to watch over again

Goddammit. I actually got the feels. I'm sick of AI

Some of us live in areas that don't have a lot of options for shopping around. What difference does having a price tag make in an emergency, either? Patients as consumers sounds makes life-saving measures look like comparison shopping for egg prices.

It's horrible. This time of year, my daughter and I remember people we lost. My daughter has already lost her father and two close friends. Holidays are hard, and memories flood in. My mom took such good care of me. When I'm sick or sad, I miss her the most
December 11, 2025 at 4:08 AM
I was going to say the same. I actually don't miss family Thanksgiving because I always felt shame. "Aren't you full yet? I couldn't eat a second dessert. Yada, yada, yada." Yeah, I'm fat, get over it

The mockumentaries are getting tiresome. We can figure out the plot and jokes without needing them to be explained to the camera. I find myself getting sick of really good shows because of it, like Abbott Elementary

Sorry for your recent loss, but 100, wow. My mom was 90

I prefer my English Setters with hot sauce. Hot Dog

My mom died four years ago today. I still find myself groaning in despair. My daughter will ask what's wrong, I just say "It's nothing". I need my mom, I don't care if I'm 61. I will always need her.

My MAGA niece, who completed a biology class 25yrs ago that touched on RNA, still insists she understands the mRNA vaccines completely. It's 'deadly'. Meanwhile, my young friend completed Harvard & Columbia Med with lab time studying mRNA, is 'wrong' because Ivy Leagues are stoopid

Thank you so much. I hope I can get myself to make them this week. Yum

That would be great
December 9, 2025 at 5:27 PM
Oooh, do you have any conversions of the typical cookie recipe to make them?
