Fun fact:

With wins at Washington (3-8) and Las Vegas (2-9) over the next two weeks, the Broncos will reclaim first place entering the season's final quarter, regardless of what the Patriots or any other team does in the meantime

They just need to take care of their business.

With the Broncos Defensive front locked up, got to hope this is the off-season George Paton finally uses meaningful draft resources on an offensive tackle.

Denver hasn't drafted one since Garett Bolles in 2017. He will be 34 in May.

Mike McGlinchey will be 31 in January.

With Malcolm Roach is extended through 2027, the Broncos DL is set for 2026:

Zach Allen: locked up through 2029
D.J. Jones: locked up through '27
Eyioma Uwazurike: locked up through '26
Sai'vion Jones: locked up through '28
Nik Bonitto: locked up through '29
Jonathon Cooper: locked up through '28

Broncos prioritize Malcolm Roach for less than what Franklin-Myers will command. Roach more of a run clogger and true interior stuffer than pass rusher. 5.5 sacks in career.

Wow this late game window is... Weak.

Good time to go throw for Milo. ✌️

Sean Payton gives Bo Nix one of the most expansive playbooks in the NFL, & a play caller who has won with vertical games & mobile QBs like young Drew Brees, Taysom Hill & distributors like Teddy Bridgewater & old Drew Brees.

It's reasonable for Broncos Country to be optimistic.

According to @aaronschatz.com's DVOA simulations the Broncos have a 98% to make the playoffs.

Weird, they didn't call a facemask.

It's wild that the officials can spot Riley Moss with contact, but miss Thornton pushing off.

Patrick Mahomes has been pressured at the 2nd-lowest rate (25.7) in the NFL

Mahomes has a 39.4 comp pct under pressure (3rd-lowest).

Will Broncos heat him up with Jonathan Cooper playing hurt, & Jonah Ellis out?

Need to to give the offense a chance.

When Payton drafted Bo Nix & made the playoffs last year, Denver argued the Broncos out-smarted the NFL Draft process.

27 games into his career... it sure looks like Nix is exactly what @natetice.bsky.social & @qbklass.bsky.social s.bsky.social expected 👇

Is Bo Nix ready to elevate his play and take the Broncos on a Dark Horse Super Bowl ride? 🐴

Chiefs have 10 players w/ 200+ yards from scrimmage:

Kelce remains their leading receiver bc Rice missed 6 of 9 games.

Worthy, Brown, & Thornton give them vertical threats, Smith-Schuster eats on crossers.

Smith is the forgotten receiving back with five first downs & a 68.4% success rate.

The Broncos would be wise to run the ball against the Chiefs, who've struggled to stop it.

They'll miss J.K. Dobbins, he had a 53.6% success rate across 153 attempts for 772 yards 37 first downs & 4 TDs this year.

R.J. Harvey has a 34% success rate on his 50 rushing attempts.

Broncos may be facing off against the Chiefs without

CB1 Patrick Surtain II
LG1 Ben Powers
RB1 J.K. Dobbins
LB2 Alex Singleton
ZWR/RET Marvin Mims Jr
HB Nate Adkins

Edge rusher Jonathon Cooper has his hand in a cast, ED3 Jonah Ellis left the Raiders game due to injury.

In case you didn't take the time to dive in, Solak shines a light on more of the reason the objective types are worried about Bo Nix and what he does to the Broncos Super Bowl chances:

Broncos record 2016-2022: 44-70

Broncos record with Sean Payton: 26-18

W/ Russell Wilson: 7-8

W/ Jarrett Stidham: 1-1

W/ Bo Nix: 18-9

He ain't perfect, but I think Denver isn't giving their Hall of Fame coach enough credit for the team's turnaround these past 3 years.

One reason I ardently believe that the Troy Franklin blame is wildly overblown:

The dig on this dagger won't get more open. This is an elementary play for an NFL QB.

Nix doesn't find him.

Looking back at Dane Brugler's draft report on Bo Nix and I'd say he's basically lived up to the evaluation.

Most considered him a day 2 prospect, Broncos got him at 12:
November 7, 2025 at 9:06 PM
This doesn't include last nights game, but if you dig into the numbers you'll find that Bo Nix has been struggling with ball placement 10+ yards downfield all year.

That combined with his issues throwing to the middle limit what Sean Payton can do, hence Broncos run a ton of screens & shot plays.
November 7, 2025 at 7:27 PM
Bo Nix in weeks 1-10 of 2025.

Pretty clear area of the field where Bo Nix isn't doing enough.

The receivers are getting open in the intermediate to deep middle.

The QB isn't going there.

That's a problem.
November 7, 2025 at 7:14 PM
The Broncos are 8-2 with the Bo-ller Coaster.

The defense is championship caliber. The offense and special teams are donkey shows.

And don't get me started on the penalties.

Can they become legitimate Super Bowl contenders?

Let's ride.

How many QBs would be an upgrade?

Serious question.
November 7, 2025 at 4:33 AM

Texans: 53.6

2024
