I made a TR-808 kit for the Alesis HR-16 and it sounds pretty good. The HR-16 uses 8-Bit samples but employs an encoding/decoding trick to give a 16-Bit dynamic range. I also managed to fit the whole set of TR-707 and TR-727 sounds in the same EPROMs. #drummachine #romhack #synthsky #TR-808 #synth

Raspberry Pi sampler I made a few years ago because I couldn't find any (besides huge workstations) that did layers and splits like the old rack samplers. Didn't really use it - was clunky with too many pieces to plug together once you add a keyboard and soundcard!

Roland HS-60 (SynthPlus 60): Same as the Juno-106 but with built-in speakers and different colour scheme. Layout inside also differs slightly - voice and CPU boards are under the keybed to fit the speakers. Not as cool looking as the 106 but same great sound! #synthsky #vintage #roland #juno #synth
