Seen this morning. I wonder which bits of Lenin / Leninism they are defending...? 🤔

Previous post was inspired by this I spotted at Elizabeth and Terry's house at the weekend ✨ 🤗

One for you @littlehen.bsky.social. Terry tells me the girls were taking in ivy #pollen today, judging by its colour 🐝

These #buckfast bee are amazing, a joy to inspect 🥰

Still quiet - yet - at #SJP, though camera crews are already in place. Sir Bobby is looking proudly on. Time for new statues methinks 😁 #nufc

I find the photo of Hilary Mantel in this obituary compelling:

'Her left eye was the seer, the peeled one. With this she looked on other people, “winding their fabric back onto the bolt and pricing them by the yard”. ' 👁️

Recommendation: 'The Harbour Lights'. I caught up with a buddy over (lactose free) lunch yesterday in the "Best Pub in South Shields". 💯 agree.

Absolutely first class and great value. I eat a fair amount and this all disappeared 😁 #nomnom

I've also visited Redesdale, and walked up Carter Pike. Decent path, it was pretty wild when I was there. Advice is to take decent gear for changeable weather, & sensible victuals.

It was worthwhile. On a calm, clear day the views will be even better :)

~10 minutes away is Flodden Field. It was peaceful & seemingly the harvest had been taken in days before.

The well-realised info boards told a story of carnage and history-making.

Good to visit and worthwhile taking in what happened. Brutal though...

On my staycation, I've been taking in local history and geography - and a bunch of #Northumberland fresh air.

Firstly Maelmin 'dark ages' settlement near Milfield, and an aerodrome. It was really interesting, with informative signs around the site.

Next time, 60 mins - not 30
