There’s a technical working group running this and they are from a variety of experts and stakeholders.
The trial is also aimed at newcomers to the sport as well as those already within the game. I agree with Tim. Definitely worth a go.

Adult women’s cricket uses a smaller ball than the men’s adult game while Football doesn’t. Scaling the ball for women’s rugby would have same reasoning as cricket behind it.
