Check the committees, where Repubs have everything locked up. They are refusing to bring anything substantive to the Floor that hasn't been pre-approved by trump. Nevertheless, Sanders & the Democrats are fighting for legislation we want passed, in committees & speeches, line by line, word by word.

I think he's just doing the necessary shift from campaigning to get elected to get things done, to getting things done. He's already successfully managed to get through a quickly arranged, highly successful face-to-face with the current "dictator" of the USA. Now the background work before swear-in.

Our gov't & its agents are incompetent & careless. Chinese dissident immigrants seeking asylum from Xe's brutal "communist" regime -- who Xe still wants eliminated -- are easy targets in a US prison camp with other Chinese escapees. They'd kill to impress Xi for when they get deported back to China.

He & the people he hung out with owned several pageants too.
