Heard a story about kids' books & had a childhood flashback - I read A LOT as a kid, but don't really remember a lot of different books. As I recall, I swear I jumped from Encyclopedia Brown straight to @stephenking.bsky.social. Is that weird?

Heard from the co. that denied treatment for my knee. It says "an experienced health-care professional" considered my health & decided the treatment is "not medically necessary."
Four paragraphs later, the same goddamn letter says, "Only you and your doctor can decide what's best for you."

A couple of nights ago, a co-worker who's only been on 3rd shift a month or so described me thusly to a brand new trainee on their first night on shift: "Some people say he's a dick, but he's only a dick if *you're* a fuck-up."

All I really spend $ on, besides everyday living expenses, is music. I've never heard, or even heard of, many artists associated w/ the Grammys. I'm 100% okay with that. I have no use for what those people do. But if their work does for others what *my* favorite artists do for me, it's a good thing.
